Payment deposited not credited in our A/c & receiving bills

Dear Sir,

I am credit care holder in the name of Tirath Singh Gulati A/c No. 5176538522923008

this is to bring to your kind notice that we have deposited one cheque no. 0293648 dtd. 13.11.07 for Rs. 2019.25 of HDFC bank and same has also been debited to my account on 13.11.07. but still we are getting bills showing oustanding in my name. Till date, that cheque has not been credited to my Creidt card A/c No. 5176538522923008 in the name of Tirath Singh Gulati. In Current bill, it is showing a outstanding in my account whereas I have already deposited the money. I have checked with the bankers, they have replied that cheque by mistake has been credited to some other account due to clerical mistake by bank. but inspite of our repeated reminders, that amount is not transferred to our account.

today I have received legal notice from bank stating that I have not made payment whereas this all outstanding is due to mistake from bank side.

you are requested to please check the whereabout of the cheque from your end and transfer that amount to our account and give us a correct statement so that balance amount can be deposited.
