Telemarketing calls

I have constantly been receiving Telemarketing calls on my cell phone. The most unusual thing about these calls is despite my telling these telemarketers that I am not interested in their products/services they continue to call.

The most irritating ones have been calls from ICICI Prudential & Barclays. ICICI reps called me thrice in one day & despite my yelling on them to stop calling the calls kept coming till the next day. Finally I looked up for ICICI Prudential's office nos on the net & complained to their supervisor. The most offending part was that the supervisor & reps refused to put my number on their 'Do Not Call' list if I did not give them my personal details & the most surprising bit was they had my number without my name.

I even received a call from ICICI Prudential's office in Bombay with regards to my complaint, they did not have an answer when I asked that 'How is it that ICICI Prudential had my number & not my name? ' Secondly the lady speaking to me was extremely rude & did not want to answer any of my questions but was hell bent on taking my details & eventually she banged the phone down on me.

Barclays too has a similar story wherein every 2-3 days I receive a call & despite my telling them I am not interested the most stupid answer given to me by all the reps is "At least you will not get a call from me". And surprisingly there is never any supervisor or manager around when you ask for one.

I have tried registering my number on National Do not call a number of times with the latest one being almost a month ago & despite the message I received that Telemarketing calls will stop in 45 days I continue to receive them.

I am desperately looking for a solution where these telemarketing calls can be stopped without my having to give my name & personal details.
