I am a credit card holder for ICICI bank (card no: 5176 5371 8706 4009) issued on 02/08. I have been trying to settle my Credit card and go for the closure of the card for the past 8 months, but everytime i try to get in touch with the executives, they have tried to play false with me.
First time when i tried to get my card settled 6 months back, the executive (his mobile number: 9611110733) asked me to pay an amount of 10, 000 initially and said that he will get my credit card settlement letter. But though i payed him 10, 000 Rs, he gave me a receipt of 6000 Rs only and did not get back to me. When i asked him to give me a receipt of 10. 000 Rs he said if he gives me a receipt of 10, 000 then he will never do my settle ment.
I want to know is this how the ICICI bank works? taking away customers money and giving false hopes of having the card settled?
Next time after 3 months again when i started getting calls from the customer care i informed them about my issue with the previous executive and they promised to get my card settled this time.
I started getting calls from different people and harrasing me.
In the similar way, i trusted the next executive (his mobile number: 9379880999 and 9880332938) who promised to give me a settlement within 2 weeks. He asked me to make an initial payment of 5000 RS so that he can process my request for the settlement.
And to my despair this guy also took my money and never got back to me. I want to know is this how ICICI executives BLUFF customers? I have not been using the card for the past 1 year now and have been trying to get my card closed but no one seems to have helped me out.
And i want to make it very clear that for first 18 months i have made regular payments on this card (5600Rs per month).
After that i have never used that card for more than 1 year and have tried to get a settlement.
as mentioned earlier after 18 months i have made a payment of 10, 000 once and 5, 000 again.
I think this is a very serious issue that needs to be dealt with strictly.
Let me know the process of the closure of the card. I am not going to make a single payment from now on.
