ICICI Credit Card
Rules regarding credit card payments not made clear by the Company

Hi, I have an ICICI Bank Credit card, and was due to make a payment on 3rd September. I dropped a cheque for the entire amount at one of the ATM drop box on 1st September. However, the amount was not debited by the 3rd of September. Finally on 13th September the money was debited from my S/B Account, but to my disguist, ICICI charged me Rs. 300/- plus taxes for the internal errors caused by ICICI themselves, for the late payment. I immediately called the ICICI customer care in Bangalore and was told by one of the executives that I had to make a cheque payment at least one week in advance of the due date henceforth, or else late charges would be applied. I checked up with the terms and conditions and found no such rule in the ICICI Credit card usage terms and conditions. Would the ICICI bank officials be polite enough to interpret such rules to their customer. I also advise other customers sincerely never to use ICICI bank credit cards. Regards.
