ICICI Credit Card
Wrongful debit from my saving account

This is a rather long complaint, but I will try and put a gist to it. 2007 I discontinued my ICICI card as they wrongfully billed me for INR 1200 that I did not spend... I ended up paying the INR 1200 and then discontinued my card. My payment was late by one day. From 2007 till 2009 Feb they kept sending me bills. They stopeed sending courier and sent me email bills. Anyway, they deducted approx INR 8700 from my ICICI savings account on the outstanding. This outstanding was nothing but the late fee and interest charge. I did not owe anything to the bank at all. They still deducted this amount from my ICICI saving account. They have not sent me any 'closure' or statement reflecting this payment and this mornign I get another bill in my email box that there is yet some outstanding in my name!! I am at a loss of words. ICICI has really really gone to the dogs. The staff are unhelpful, untrained and do not even bother to listen to the complaints of genuine customers. They have become worse than a public sector bank. It is really sad to see a brand like ICICI dying a slow death. I have a hosue loan and savings account with ICICI that I am now going to close and I do not want to have anything to do with a bank that does not deal fairly with its customers, a bank that has become so large that they have missed out on the 'personalised' banking that they woudl brag about. ICICI Credit Card has wrongfully deducted approx INR 8700 from my savings bank account for something that I never ever purchased or used my card fo!!!
