SETLEMENT OF CARD

I am from hyderabad, I have a ICICI gold card, due to some financial problems could not make regular payments to the card and ave requested for the settlement of the card and the amount given by them was too high, I got a call from number 04066732949 on 21/01 telling that I can close and settle the card by paying Rs 22000.00 and I have made the payment by cheque number 655918 of HSBC bank hyderabad branch which debited my account and got credited to my card, While making the payment I was told that I can collect the settlement lettter from the bank in 10 working days. When I went o collect the settlement letter I was informed that the card is not closed and they did not receive any request of settlement and was advised to call the customer services which I did but of no use now again the ICICI bank want me to make the payment and also that the have not called me.
