ICICI Credit Card
Non Receipts of Statement for over 18 months

Sir,

I am holding a credit card of ICICI Bank for last several years. Incidentally for over 8 months I have not been receiving the monthly statements. Each month when the bank would contact for payment, I would inform them regarding unavailability of Monthly Statement, with a promise that the same would be send within next 7 working days. After repeatedly taking up the matter with the bank it was found that there was error in the contact address (Office address changed). This correct address was several times communicated to their customercare and to the to their representatives deputed for collecting the payments. My fear was that even though I had been regularly paying money, the total amount due kept on increasing every month. Ironically, all their representatives or notices come to the correct address, however, the Statement never reaches me. During this period I have lost count of the money paid to them, though they keep reminding me that outstanding amount, which is constantly increasing.

During their last collection for the month of March I had very categorically informed them that i will not pay any further amount, till I start receiving the Statements. However, instead of providing me a Statement for next month, they have send me notice through a local lawyer on my residential address (alternate address).

I am in fix and fell helpless. My well wishers have suggested to drag them to court, but I fear that it would be very cumbersome and expensive remedy. additionally, my profession does not allows me enough spare time for myself or my family, leave alone getting involved in such matters. Please help & advice best course of action.
