Settlement Concerns

Hi All,

I have been using a credit card since last 3 years, have made almost all payments in time, but now being out of Job for a while Iam findning it hard to make the payments and made my mind to go for settlement, the guy who came forced a alot to to give him one bogus cheque so that the settlement can be done to the earliest, after that he assured me that there will be no issues its just that your case will go to a better team and they will be able to do it fast, even I had a word with a guy who said he does the right off for cards so nothing to worry, Iam still not sure and bit concerned for issuing a cheque.

Please suggest?
