I wanted to open a NRE demat account with ICICIDIRECT. I already have a NRE a/c with ICICI. In spite of that ICICI wants me to open another NRE account, 3-in-1 i.e. savings demat trading. It is absolutely unnessary.

A new Demat a/c can be opened easily and the same to be linked with my existing NRE a/c. On top of that ICICI charges INR 4000 as joining fees.
