Bills registered for direct payment not being paid by the bank

My Card No.4629864135612002. Beside this I had old Cards No, 4477473771736019 and4477473771736100. My MTNL bill and Airtel bills were registered for the direct payment by the to the debit of my credit card account. Forthe last two months these bills are not being paid by bank and at the last moment I have to run for making the payment my self. I talked to customer care no. and they told me that later two cards mentioned above have expired and as such the bills are not being paid. I was assured that the bills will now be registyered under the former card. But this has not been done. Today I have again received an SMS that Airtel bill could not be processed and I should make the payment myself. If the bank is not prepared to extend this service and that too against a fee, I will request that my ICVBP instruction be cancelled under an intimation to me. Or I should be assured that in future the bill will be regularly paid in time without creating any embarresment for me.
