Poor service

The complaints in washing machine are attended only when additives like descal are purchased from the sales men. They are more interested in selling descal powder than in rectifying the defect. Almost all defects including your indigestion is attributed to scaling of the washing machine. When I pointed out that the earlier rep had sold a filter which cost 2000 and said that descaling powder is not required they lose interest in repair. The heater stopped working longtime back and the technician disconnected that and We came to know of it only when the next tech came on a call. IFB was good and I have been using this brand over last 15 years and changed the machine twice. But of late the service has deteriorated and the machine is something which I hesitate to recommend, if only on account of the service. IFB gives it to franchisee without any redressal mechanism from the company's side. I had infact taken an extended warranty, looking to the excellant service provided in the past. Now with cost cutting everywhere i feel it has taken a toll in terms of quality service
