The problem I am facing pertains to my PAN no&AAAPG0378F, allotted by Director of Income Tax (Systems), Jhandewalan Extension, New Delhi against my application dt 02-02-1995.I have the PAN card which I have been using all these years. Sometime back, while opening a bank a/c, it was discovered that the IT deptt website shows the name of Manoj Ghosh against my PAN no..Until now the IT refund cheques were prepared manually, so the problem was manageable. However, this year the deptt sent the refund order by ECS to my bank a/c but in the name of Manoj Ghosh! The bank, naturally, returned the same.

I have been speaking with the AAYKAR Sampark Kendra who told me this mistake happened in 2003.The deptt database still carries my address for AAAPG0378F and also my email address at which I have been receiving FORM 26 AS (but in name of manoj ghosh) which contain all TDS details pertaining to me only. Therefore, it seems to be a mistake by the data entry operator of the website.

The name of manoj ghosh, his father's name and date of birth need to be deleted on the website. To this purpose I made the application in the change PAN particulars form to NSDL ack no 060940400394462 but nothing seems to be happening as for one month the matter is with the deptt as per their website.

PLEASE help me to get over this unusual problem which the deptt has created.
