Indane Gas
Cylinder life expired

Dear Sir,

I have been delivered with a gas cylinder on 21/05/09 at my residence by my distributor. While placing the cylinder in use I found that the cylinder's life has been expired. I rang up to the gas agency and received the answer that as they are receiving from the Indane company they cannot help me in this regard. My question to the concerned authority is if the date has been expired then how it is circulated upto the distributor? And in this case as a customer what answer In am supposed to get from my distributor? Using the expired cylinder is very very risky and may prove catstrophic. The detail is as below:

1. Batch no of Cylinder: B 73289

2. Test Date: 11/97

3. Code: D 04 (means the cylinder has been expired on 4th quarter ie, December).

4. Customer ID: 31288

5. Name & Address of the agency: Uttaryan Gas Service (Distributor of Indane)
