A very bad customer service and approach was seen at Natraj Enterprises (a Indiane Gas Distributer). I booked the connection on the 18th of December and was asked to wait for 15 days from the time of booking as was informed that a IOC official would visit my house for inspection. I was charged Rs.50 for the slip provided. It is clearly mentioned no charge. I waited as there was no IOC official who payed a visit. On the 2nd of January I called the agency with regards to the connection. They informed to meet them on the 3rd of Jan. When approached I requested that I need a 4 burner stove. The agent informed me that, I would have to wait. I gave him an option, said that would purchase the stove outside and would only need the gas with the regulator. The agent then said, he would submitt my request to the IOC official again and I need to wait for another 15 days. Then I told him to give me an option to get a 4 burner stove, immediately to calls a number and asks for the stove. The sales man informs him that he is in tirupati and he would be back on saturday. The agent then asks me to wait until saturday. I told him I cant wait as I waited a long time now. I told him I have the day off, I would go to the showroom where they purchase the stove. He reacts saying it cant be done.

My question is, when a customer is ready to do their job, why is that these agents stop them? He abruptly says you will have to wait or look for something else. Comon, I am paying and he is dictating terms to me??? Sorry IOC, I have to say this... pay them well.

I brought the connection from HP and would get the 4 burner stove and the connection in the morning, ie 4th of Jan. Need not wait until saturday.

I dont understand, why these govt run organisation dont go an extra mile to serve? Would they behave the same when it comes to them?
