I had applied for a Passport under Tatkaal Scheme on 07/07/09 and RPO sent my Passport to me through Postal Registration number 142820 on 10/07/09.

Today is 16/07/09 and I have not received my Passport yet, I have not moved out of my house all these while just to make sure that I dont miss out on the Postman.

I wanted this Passport urgently, that is the only reason, why I shelled out 1500 Rs extra and applied for it under Tatkaal, but it has not reached me even after the RPO sending it to me on time.

I called up the Post Office to enquire about the same, they say is the Passport is sent through SpeedPost it should have a 9 Digit Speed Post Tracking number;

and incase it is sent through Registered Post it should have a 4 Digit tracking number.

Post office says that they can not track it with the Postal Registration number.

I logged two complaints on the Indian Postal Service Web Based Customer Grievances handling system, on their website on 14/07/09, but both the complaiants are still under pending sattus even after 2 working days.

I even emailed the speedpost customer service email address but i did not receive a response from them till today.

I'm in a fix, can anyone help me out please for heavens sake!
