Indian Post Office - Speed Post Service

Trusting Indian Postal service, I sent a parcel to my mother through speed post from Bangalore on 19th June (Thursday) to Amritsar, It normally take 3-4 days to reach its destination, but in this case it still did not reach. Bangalore post office people says they dispatched it from here on the same day. I traced it online, its even showing it reached Amritsar on the same day. It indicates the parcel sent through on 21st June itself to the recipient, where as it never reached them. Now i am totally confused which way to go. Articals in the parcel were costing around - Now I have just become a ping pong ball between two post offices. Its very difficult for me to track it from Bangalore if it reached Amritsar, my mother alone can not run around Post Offices. Please help me sort out this issue.
