Loss of purse and harassment by railway staff

While travelling on Saptkranti from Gorakhpur to Delhi, by second A/C my purse was stolen in the middle of the night. The ticket collector and other staff refused to file a complaint or call the guard. Much later when the guard came, they refused to lodge my FIR. The staff was rude, unhelpful and basically said I was to blame and shouted at me and cast aspersions on my character. Even the intervention of some senior railway people did not help. Women really are not safe in the indian railways, whatever the thieves leave will be taken by the railway staff!
