Egistered airmail not delivered yet

I sent registered airmail from china to mumbai on 28th dec and was assured that it will be delivered within a week or 10 days... it has been 17 days now and the parcel has not been received yet. As the parcel was sent to Mumbai a metropolitan and not to some remote small area it was expected that a relatively prompt service will be received but it does not seem to make any difference.

I would be grateful if some immediate action is taken to trace the parcel and if it reaches the hands of the owner as soon as possible...
