Being an Airtel Telephone Customer I had received a Gift Certificate Voucher Number - GC1223458865705652 for which I can redeem anything worth Rs.200/-

On the last day of its expiry (till 11.59 PM) I was about to redeem (On 11.00 AM) but it showed that "This Certificate is expired" and was unable to redeem anything. On calling customer care they too confirmed and sayed we will be looking into the details and get back to you but they never called and the reason was "Power Failure". Can anybody tell me does any Phone or Mobile run through electricity and also in such a company there are no power back - ups??? nor I have received any reply.

However, everytime I called and everytime I was told that we are working. Frustated I spoke to thier head and he said that there have been other redemptions too and there was nothing sort of any type of error... and refused to accept any kind of complain and have me redeem my Gift Voucher.

The kind of treatment & experience was very very bad.

Is there anybody to teach them a lesson??? The complain or reference number provided was 866878 and a mail which I had written on the 30th November'08 getting them with the problems I faced.
