Extra Tax Charged

Hi,

Today i'd been to Indi Joe, (Resto-Bar) at RMZ infinity, Old Madras Road. I'd my bill amounting to Rs1, 495 and on that amount they charged 12.5% VAT, which is acceptable. but thats not the end of the story. on the Net total they again charged 10% service charge which is not permissible. When asked to the Manager he said 5% goes to the waiters and 5% is provided to the Company. and finally my bill amounted to Rs1, 750/-

Since when is service tax being charged but restaurants??
