Excess harges of new connection

Sir,

i have applied for a new tap connection at hydernagar village, kphb, hyderabad. my plot area is 227 sq.mts and in that we have constructed 2 rooms of which 200 sft. board has sanctioned to me for giving a new connection but they said to me to pay Rs.14428/- wich is additional to the amount Rs.500/- has already been paid.

but in the application it is given that, i have to pay Rs.1500/- extra after sanction of the connection.

why they mentioned this much amount in the letter given to me?

is it correct or any mistake in this letter.
