Suggestion and actionable complaint

This is my humble suggestion and also an actionable complaint being a citizen of India as well as a passenger of Indian Railways frequently on official and personal reasons.

Indian Railway is a great organisation and it can serve the people of India in an excellent way if the staff of the organisation from top to bottom work in a well oiled machine. It will improve the efficiency of its operation and most important aim the comfortable and safe journey of its passengers.

1. The decentralisation of Railways in to various Zones are found compromising the quality of services to the passengers and seems to be competing not for improvement of the same.

2. The cleanliness of the compartments irrespective of the class, it is filled with insects, rats etc. causing sleepless night to the passengers even though they had paid for the same.

3. The bed rolls providing in the A/C coaches are not properly cleaned, the pillows, it is not a pillow but only a baby pillow and its cover washes rarely. The smelling blankets and curtains add journey more misserable. many people complaint of skin diseases after the use of Railway bedrolls due to its use. This should be withdrawn immediatly and provide disposable bed rolls to the passengers.

4. The new coaches in the 2AC are having small size berths, less than 6' and also reduced its width causes great inconvenience to the passengers.
