Processor and mother board malfunctioning

Hi i m bharath .i have purchace a mother board and processor on 20.4.2007 model no of my mother board is D945gccr and my porcesor is dual core 2.8 i donn no whether the problem is with the board or the other it gets heated up an shuts down imeediately... plzzz say what the process to repair my mother board or exchange...
