Opening of saving a/c in SBI, Okhla Estate, Ph-III

Dear Sir / Madam,

I went to SBI, Okhla Estate, Phase-III, New Delhi-110020 for opening a saving account for one of our employee. He has voter ID card of Orissa as one id proof. He lives in office so company gave a letter on its company letter head for his residence proof. So, both the criteria are completed to open the saving a/c.

Mr. Malhotra is Sr. Manager / Manager of SBI and other officers refused to open a/c saying that company don't have account with SBI so its letter is not valid. They are saying as per RBI guideline that they can't open the acount and Mr. Malhotra mentioned on form advised to bring local address.

My contention is that no where it is mentioned on the form that customer who is giving a letter of the company where he is working is not valid being company don't have the account in SBI.

Kindly advise what should we do?
