I had given my Chev Spark for second service on Saturday (Oct 3, 09), with specific complaints of air reduction in the rear tyre on the left side of the car and door rattling. I was charged Rs. 100 for car pick-up and drop. Although the car was delivered on the same day stating on the phone that all the problems had been addressed, I noted on Monday morning (Oct 5) that the specific complaints of air seepage and door rattling had not been addressed. The car was not moved between Sat to Mon at all. When I contacted the Ekkaduthangal service center to understand why these issues had not been addressed, they agreed to re-check the problems on Wednesday (Oct 7). The technician called up to state that the tyre had a puncture which was to be fixed outside the service center and Rs. 100 would be charged for it. This is ridiculous. My issue is not of money but of principle. Air seepage may mean amongst others that there is a puncture. Why was this not addressed on Sat itself before dropping the car back stating all was done? Now, I had to incur additional petrol cost for sending the car back to the service center. I think these guys in that Ekkaduthangal service center have no clue about what they need to check and how to arrest issues in cars. All in all, pathetic service.
