Denied payment by personal check

My daughter and I were shopping for some needed clothing for her. She is disabled (blind) and her checking account is in both her name and mine. This is to allow me to assist her with writing and signing her checks to save time. After making our selections new shorts, socks, pjs, 2 shirts for her Dad for Fathers day we procede to the check out and write a check for our purchases. I show my drivers licenses and the clerk tells us that she cannot accept our check. I unhappily used what little cash I had to pay for the purchases. My daughter and I have been shopping at this Kmart for a long time for many things. As well as having written checks on numerous occasions; but, never had a check denied. Upon calling the number (Certegy) on the back of the check, they informed me that we were randomly denied by Kmart which they do on occasions depending on the amount of checks they receive. I was very disappointed by this and will not return for a very long time, if ever to a Kmart store.
