This is with regard to to my Hyundai Verna which was sent for service to the Kun Service station at Nellangarai., Chennai. We had earlier made a complaint and the result of that was memos served to the service advisor and manager (as said by them) but nothing much was done to the car itself. The car is in a very bad shape and others who see a Verna smoking like this are and will be annoyed to purchase one. The original pickup is totally missing.

Question that needs to be answeredby KUN HYUNDAI

The car was sent for as per the advice of the service advisor for clutch replacement but many other parts were changed without informing us. Check the service records. (and it was there in the service station for 15 days)

Why the engine head was opened and engine dismounted for replacing the clutch plates.

Why free wheel was changed.

Timing belt was changed without our consent.

Why the coolant liquid went into the engine and why the rust formation.

One of the injector was rusted.

Engine oil sump was empty due to severe leak.

The leaked oil was all over the brake drum and total failure of the system.

They claimed that water had mixed with Diesel.By then the car had clocked 2000 Kms and to our knowledge diesel was filled at reputed stations. Never we felt any jerk or starting problem during these days.

Suddenly the gears were not falling as it used to be and especially the reverse gear was slipping into first gear.

The pickup on the roads of the Verna is lost and it does not climb ghat sections.

Black smoke is more and KUN says That the turbo charger needs to be checked.

Mileage has dropped to 9 kmpl from 15kmpl after the service.

Why the steering underarm was changed twice under warranty without informing us. Even now there the steering is hard and there is a leak.

Clutch is hard even after changing the clutch plates.

After the first service when most of the problems were mentioned KUN took the car and kept it for 10 days to rectify most of the problems. As of now the same problems persist and have become worse.

We are not prepared to send the car to Kun Hyundai for further repairs. We feel that Kun has destroyed the car and they are liable to give a replacement. We are not prepared to settle the balance bill which is way beyond the said estimate. Estimate was for Rs 19000 and the bill given is Rs 49719.00 . We have already paid Rs. 20000.

Iam pushed to mental agony especially when I park on a slope since iam not sure whether this car is going to move forward while accelerating. It happened once after even engaging the first gear it could not move forward and went back to hit a stationary vehicle.

Based on the above observations please take necessary steps to replace the car since I have totally lost faith in this model. A point for you to consider is that this sudden change happened after this service which is 30 months after I purchased the car and after running 78, 000 kms without any problem. I was a proud owner of Accent for 4 years until I purchased Verna based on the reputation of your company.

Ex Kun guys say that it is not advisable to send your car for service during the last week for they have a directive asking them to change spares so as to increase the stores performance. Is this TRUE.
