Computer Manufaturers refuse to sell products without Microsoft Windows

Laptop and Desktop manufacturers like Dell, H.P, Toshiba, HCL, Wipro, etc., sell products with pre-installed OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) versions of "Microsoft Windows Operating System".

However, the retail version of windows operating system is readily available in market and is in the wish of the consumer whether he/she would buy or not. Moreover, Windows operating system is not "the ultimate operating system" required to run a Laptop or Desktop Computer.

But, computer manufactures mentioned above "Mandatorily" install Windows Operating System without the consumer's decision whether to install it or not. This pre-installed OEM version of Windows, although, is low priced compared to the retail version significantly increases the price of the end product.

As mentioned earlier, any version of Microsoft Windows Operating System is optional, and the consumer can decide whether to buy it or not.

But, Computer manufacturers "refuse" to sell the end product without the Windows Operating System. And also "refuse" to refund the amount of Windows Operating System even though the consumer doesn't want it.

The most interesting part is, Computer manufactures on every Laptop and Desktop computer Advertisement/Publicity; mention "We (Manufacturer) Recommend Windows Operating System" For example: "Dell Recommends Microsoft Windows Vista (Basic, Premium, Business, Ultimate) Operating System".

Now, when someone "recommends", it means consumer's decision/advice has to be considered before installing the said operating system in the end product. Clearly, Computer manufacturers are violating the consumer right.
