Lenovo Battery Issue

I brought a Lenovo 3000 N100 model on 14/04. within 6 months the battery of the laptop got non-functional, it was in warrenty period so Lenonvo replace it. Now this month (July 09) the battery has failed agin it has stopped functioning at all. oOn contacting lenovo customer care they say I have to buy new battery. I feel cheated as technically speking the battery is nearly one and half year old. Lenovo is recalling it batteries but not of this model.

I am not even using this laptop frequently as I have another from my office whcih i am using for last 4 years.

Can you please help me in this regards.
