Debit against non payment

Sir,

I would like to bring to your kind notice that I am having a savings bank account with State Bank of India, Nanganallur (SB Account No. 10015304850). I used my ATM card No.6220180225700001319 for withdrawing money of Rs.10, 000 at Union Bank of India, Nanganallur ATM on 15.11.2008. As the transaction could not be processed, I have received a message stating that “ transaction was declined (072) for the reason unable to process under record reference No.7640; Date15th November; Time 15.07; ATM ID NCHN00401111111”. But subsequently, when I updated my Savings Bank pass book on 7th December I was shocked to note that an amount of Rs.10, 020/- was debited on 15.11.2008 towards my ATM card No.6220180225700001319 operation.

Inspite of my several attempts in person, through phoneor through letters and e-mail. I did not receive any positive reply.

Hence, I request you to make arrangements to take very urgent action to credit the amount of Rs. 10, 020 which was wrongly deducted from my State Bank of India Savings Bank Account No.10015304850 along with interest for the period.
