Agent has eaten up the premium

We have paid our policy premium for 08 for my father and mother policy and when the time came for the next policy we came to know that the policy has lapsed and we didn't even received a single reminder notice from the life indurance company. Now when we are complaining against the agent they are not taking any kind of serious action against the agent .. i have expereinced really a very bad experience with the LIC INDIA.
