Advance money taken and no services provided

Lilam Enterprises is an agency which provides, among other services, house maids for household work. When I contacted them for a housemaid, they assured me that I would have a maid the very next day provided I paid them an advance of Rs 350.00 per day. I paid them Rs 3800 in advance for a maid for 8 days. No maid turned up on thew next day or the following day. I had to make at least 20 phone calls to various numbers in Pune and Bombay and threaten people (including one person called Jamil) before a maid did finally turn up on the third day. She only stayed for 3 days and then didnt turn up again.

Lilam enterprises have not refunded my money despite calling them again and again. If such crooks can run an agency and not be checked, what is the point of having a consumer forum.

The worst thing is the loss of trust. If anyone wants a maid, please, please DONT bother with this agency.
