Quality Defect

I had placed an order for Frontier SS CT RB Clampshell pen with Mercado Online Pvt Ltd with the inscription of the name on it. It was promptly delivered to me. However, on unwrapping it I found the cap was shaky and did not sit on the body of the pen and thus was shaky. Apart from not being able to gift it at the appropriate time, the quality defect came as a rude shock. I was intrigued whether, is this the story of poor quality of Luxor only in India because the Indian consumer can be taken for a ride? I have the bill from Luxor Writing Instruments Pvt Ltd signed by the authorised signatory. Even after repeatedly writing to them (Luxor) they have not even acknowledged my mails.
