Defective Shoes

I bought a pair of Shoes from M/S Mahajan Shoes, SCF 26, Sector 19, Chandigarh on 05.07. which contains a warranty of 6 months from the date of purchase. At the time I bought my shoes, shopkeeper told me that they will replace the shoes if anything happens to the shoes withing six months.

On 07.08. say just after one month of buying of shoes, the sole pealed off from the shoe. I went to the shop alongwith my wife and they started using abusing language in front of all the customers. I told them that you have warrantied a replacement gurantee, which they refused. They said they can only get it repaired which requires 2 working days. I asked them to give a temporary pair as alternate as I have to go to office and I am having this pair of shoes with me. They again refused for that and started using bad language again. Than I asked them to write that you have received a pair of shoes for repairs which you will return after 2 days. Than they said if you want in writing than it will take 7 days for repairing.

Please suggest in this case what a customer should do as:

1. They sold me inferior quality of shoes which get damaged within a month.

2. The behaviour of shopkeeper and workers.

3. How a person can manage to go to office if he is having a single pair of shoes only.
