Fare related misinformation

Dear All, I had booked a ticket from Mumbai to Delhi using the webportal www.makemytrip.com. Amongst the set of flights shortlisted, I chose one which said 50% discount on the basic fare.

The flight no was G8152 Mumbai Delhi bearing PNR No: BVZ7UA dated May 09.

After a few days of booking the flight when I did not receive the credit as expected, i called up the customer support. On inquiring, I got the response that a fine print in one of the Terms and Conditions said

"This Cash Back offer is valid for all Indian credit/debit card holders and net banking users on all GoAir return tickets purchased on MakeMyTrip.com between May 03 and May 31 for travel completed by June 30.".

Though everything was fine except for the word "return ticket". I wish the company had been louder in conveying that I was not eligible for the discount, then it would have an informed decision. I believe the site has cheated me and should have communicated the information.
