Selling price more than MRP

On 30-Nov I purchased LG LCD monitor W1941S from Malaika Appliances, Mira Road. I was told that selling price is 9500/- which the sales person finally reduced to 9000/-. The product was not available in the showroom and I was told that it will be delivered from their store. Hence I didn't have the opportunity to check the MRP at the showroom. Upon delivery I found that price tag was tampered. I had a suspicion hence rechecked with the sales person today who said that they are paying VAT and Cess on the MRP. When I directly checked with LG Electronics I was told that MRP is Rs. 8800/- but I can get it for Rs. 8050 inclusive of all taxes. So the complaint is Malaika is not only selling at a higher prices but selling it for more than MRP which I believe is illegal.
