Eceiving advertisement sms'es

I am receiving unwanted sms'es from these companies, all belonging to one group. I tried to speak with the managers at one of the stores and asked them to unsubscribe, remove me from their list. But they said that they will be unable to sdo anything. The messages are very irritating and I get atleast 7-8 of them in a week. How can I stop them. Can I file a compaint against them?? how where??? HELP
