Maruti Desire LXI
Non Delivery and Dealer High Handedness

I booked a Maruti Desire around 24-25th March with Auto Hitec, Kolkata. At the time of receiving the advance I was told the wait period would be around 2 months. It is nearing three months and there is no sight of the car. More even after three months the dealer is unable to confirm when the delivery will be enforced.

More than the delivery, the dealer is forcing me to buy the insurance from them. They have very clearly told me that they will not deliver the car unless I buy the indurance from them.

When i called up Maruti office, instead of taking the dealer to task they were also candidly indicating that the insurance should be taken from the dealer.

ThoughI am disgusted I can understand a dealer trying to force a sell on me but i am at a loss to see that Maruti conniving with the dealer for such petty issues.

If required I can furnish all the people's names with whom I have been interacting.
