Extended Warranty

I inquired about the extended warranty under the following circumstances.

My vehicle was serviced at Rani Motors recently for overheating problem. It was diagnosed that the engine valve has burned & the same was rectified. I was charged for repairing/replacing of the valves.

In the extended warranty booklet it is mentioned in page 2-3 under LIST OF COMPONENTS COVERED, Engine: All Internal Components that inlet & exhaust valves, spring & guides, cylinder block & cylinder head, cylinder head gasket etc are covered by the extended warranty. When pointed out at the time of delivery, on the July 15th the works manager insisted that these components are covered only in case the engine cease to operate.

I pointed out that no such condition exists on the warranty contract, but the works manager refused to see my point.
