Battery did not cover guarantee

I purchased the vehicle in April and on 30th March the battery was down and on my compalint to the dealer Narayani Motors, Bhubaneswar i was told that the battery with new vehicle does not cover guarantee, but if you buy battery now separately, it will cover guarantee.

Now i am astonished that how new vehicles does not cover guarantee? This means that the new vehicles are supplied with substandard batteries?

Please advise me what to do?
