Dishonouring the committed booking

This is a grievience i am raising with Indias number 1 Automotive manufacturer for not honouring the commitment after booking the vehicle and also cheating a maruti loyal customer, myself.

This needs to be considered as a serious complain and would appreciate your kind concern in getting it resolved.

I am reiterating as what i expalined to to Mr. Singar and Mr. Avinash below:

I visited Bimal Auto Agency, Indiranagar office on 25th December, had a test drive on Wagon R. Had a very good discussion with the sales personnel and decided to buy the vehicle. I visited the godown with the sales person to check on the availability and the colour available. I was informed that there are 3 colours (Royal Gold, Virgin Blue, Black) available as of now in the Wagon R LXI model. I was confirmed that the booking can be done by paying 5000/- booking amount. After thinking over the decision over the night, I confirmed the booking with Bimal agency on 26th morning on phone as well as on email as they insisted and did the initial booking amount of Rs.10001/- and booked the Wagon R LXI (with immobiliser) / Royal Gold colour. I was assured that the car is blocked under my name and i can arrange the finances (bank loan) accordingly but got to do the balance down payment by 31st december. The Bank loan DD can be sent by 10th Jan 09.By doing so, i will still avail the available offer with additional corporate discount totalling to Rs.39000/- apart from other accessories benefits (i have mentioned in the attached document) and can take the delivery post 14th Jan09. The total cost came to Rs.3, 59, 014/-. I was really happy to form another bonding with Maruti.

Over the weekend i arranged the sanction from State bank of India and got the approval letter on 28th. I submitted the approval letter along with another payment of Rs.50, 000/- on 29th Dec 08. The balance amount as agreed was to be disburssed on 31st and agreed between Bimal Agency and Myself.

I had stopped at Bimal and booked the vehicle only once confirmed that the vehicle is available and hence the payment was done.

I had also signed up a document with Bimal Agency, that if the balance payment is not honoured by 15th Jan to still comply with the Offer. This was told to me as a precautionary step to avaoid cancellation.

Suddenly, I get a call on 30th dec from BImal agency that they have given my booked vehicle to some other customer and they cant honour my booking. I spoke to the allotment manager (Mr. Ravi) and after making him aware of the payment schedule decided earlier he agreed that i can do the remaining payment on 31st (as decided) and the vehicle will be kept for me..

Today on 31st December morning 11am as commited, i went to pay the remaining amount and get the invoicing done, I was mentioned that the car is not there for me and the booking cannot be honoured. I was given all the wierd options from taking the higher cost vehicle with the difference amount to be paid. If they have sold the booked vehicle, they have to arange the committed vehicle and deliver it to me. They manager at the office has completly put down his feet and says he cant do anything apart from saying that "they are not for charity", " they dont commit to customers", " he cant do anything". This is something i never thought of from the nominated maruti agency.

He offers me to take back the booked amount. I am here to buy the vehicle as committed at the committed cost.

This is unethical and fell really disgusted and being cheated by Authorised dealer of Maruti.

Being a Maruti Loyal from part 10 years, I suddenly feel i am cheated badly with the most reputed and honoured company (Maruti). I drove my first car in 2009 and was maruti 800. My father bought the first car (maruti 800) in mumbai on 1999 and we still cherish the vehicle. One of my sister has Maruti 800 (Pune) and the other has the new Maruti SX4 (Hyderabad). My in laws also has a maruti in Jamshedpur. We have been loyal to maruti for almost 10 years and this is what we get out of it.

I would sincerely request you to kindly look into the matter on priority and get me the committed vehicle at the committed cost.

IF THIS IS REACHING THE RIGHT AUTHORITIES, I WOULD REQUEST YOU TO KINDLY HELP ME IN GETTING JUSTICE.
