Maruti Service Station - Kolkata

I own a Maruti Alto - and today I gave it to an authorized Maruti Service station to get the customary 2nd free service done.

They asked me if I am facing any problem in particular. Lucky, that I do not have a problem with my 6-month-old Alto. I requested them to get the interiors cleaned - the car ceiling, dashboards, seat covers etc.

To my amazement they charged me INR 350/- (plus the Taxes) I expected it to be free, the same has been told in the Maruti Manual Book.

Later that day, I came to understand, from a friend of mine that the same work can be done for INR -50/- (in Kolkata – West Bengal) on any roadside workshop.

So my advice is - please do the least necessary from the authorized service stations - and for any cleaning work get it done outside else you end up spending unnecessary.
