Mold, mold, mold... with a Maytag HE top load! Bought extended warranties from Maytag directly, but were told that our problem would not be covered. The motor went about 1.5 years after purchase, what a complete piece of garbage..seriously, those who continue to buy Maytag/Whirlpool after reading the threads on the internet must have the word "fool" plastered on their foreheads. Extremely poor quality, service and support. Phone calls went unanswered, and call backs were non-existent. So, paid over $1400 for a washer, which I had to replaced in less than 2 YEARS, due to lack of service, performance and quality... and no one at Maytag took any responsibility! Just bought a new LG front load last month, it has fantastic reviews, is heavy, powerful, quiet, and works like a charm... goodbye to Maytag and Whirlpool forever, for me..any ANYONE I know.
