Would like to register a compliant against all medical shop owners in Mumbai

Customer is forced to buy a complete pack of 10 tablets even if Doctor has given a prescription for 3 tablets or 5 tablets.

This is completely unfair on consumer side as we end-up paying for something which will be thrown into garbage as nobody likes to take “extra” medicines (just because we have bought in excess)

Reasons or justifications -

1) I never faced this problem in small cities where consumption is far lesser and medical shop owners run into high risk of maintaining large inventory and then probably wasting due to expiry dates

Hence, in a place like Mumbai with such large customer base they shouldn’t be forcing customers to buy extra tablets

2) I believe wasting medicines in our country is big loss as we are already struggling to provide even basic medical-aid to each & every citizen

3) Consumer’s primary right is to buy goods in whatever quantity he/she wishes to and not under the pressure of the shop owne
