I am writing this email at 11.pm on a 27th night. At 7.30 in the morning i had booked an taxi pick up and drop from Meru Taxi Services from my apartment at Andheri east (seepz) to the domestic airport at 3.45 am on 28th. Received an sms from them at 7.43 confirming the same received my booking ref no AGA10109.
Now less than 10 mins ago their contact representative Ms Shenaz calls me up that due an system update they will not be able to send my cab along. For a single women who is dependent on the cab services for her safe journey this is quiet a way to start her vacation with a cancellation being received3.5 hrs before with no provision for an alternative arrangements.
Similarly on the 25th, when my husband was trying to book the same service at 1.pm their system seems to be down (taxi pick up and drop from Meru Taxi Services from apartment at Andheri east (seepz) to the domestic airport at 3.45). But of course when our friend form Kandiwali needed to a pick up and drop at 3.30 am to the airport on the 25th the systems started working.
This is the 5th time me or my frds at Andheri face system failure when we need a taxi. We call meru because in a city faced with numerous criminal activates we trust their service for our safety. But this does not seem o occur to the management of this service who seem more interested in higher valu bookings.
I will be very curious to know your taxi log for the 26th and 28th between 12am-6am. Did no Meru Taxis work in the road. As system failures prevented you from giving information to the drivers.
My humbke request to the management to take the below things into consideration seriouly if you do not want to loose business and more imp your reputation in the market.
1. Get a better IT support guy. Too many system crashes for short distance travel.
2. If you insist on taking booking only within 24hr time, please have the courtesy extended o your customers and inform them of any cancellations/changes at least 6 hrs in advance so that they have ample time to make alternative arrangements.
3. Learn honesty and refuse to take a booking if you believe that the distance will be less.
With further ref to my problem i have insisted that what Meru is doing with me in unethical and if i do not get an cab on time and miss out on my flight i will hold Meru Taxi’s responsible.
Further more in any case all my friends colleagues and associates will be informed NOT TO USE MERU SERVICES IN THE FUTURE as your reliability is gone down the drain.
