Selling a tempered mobile

I bought NOKIA 6500 slide on 22/05 from “THE MOBILE STORE” (city centre, shop no: G001, ground floor Kolkata). After 6 days (i.e., on 28.05.08) mobile suddenly switched off. Next day (i.e., on 29.05.08) i went to the “NOKIA CARE” at sector 5 salt Lake Kolkata. They opened the mobile, and started saying that this mobile has been tempered. They said they will do the repair, for that they will charge. Will you please justify that why one will temper the mobile when it is in warranty period and why one should pay the money for that. Then i went to mobile store and asked them why they are selling a tempered mobile to customer. They told that what ever we are getting from NOKIA, same thing we are selling to customers. No body was neither Nokia care nor mobile store was keen to take the responsibility at the same time their staff’s behavior was not good that was never expected from NOKIA and MOBILE STORE.
I work for LARSEN & TOUBRO LTD. as a Senior Design Engineer. Where employee strength is around 40000 and out of which 90 % are using nokia phones. I really feel that NOIKA is a marvellous phone maker. I have never switched to other phone makers and always praised nokia products to my family and friends and also make them go for a nokia phone instead of other brands. BUT THIS TIME THINGS HAVE NOT BEEN LIKE ALWAYS. Me, A person who has been a nokia user till date may be "forced" to switch to other phone brands and also make his friends do the same for future, IF THIS THING IS NOT TAKEN CARE OF, PROPERLY.
