Complaint Against ABN Amro Credit Card No: 5176 5210 0221 8933

Dear Sir/Madam,

I, Mr. Chanchal Roy, with deep gratitude stating that I do hold a credit card of ABN Amro bank (5176 5210 0221 8933). And I pay the EMI regularly. As on today my total outstanding is Rs35000/-(approx), which is being paid by me through monthly EMI. But this month I am having some personal problem and thus I would not be able to pay the amount. For that reason bank’s collection people started calling in my home asking for the minimum amount (Rs1700/-). One of the agents named Mr. Rahul called me today evening from Noida asking for the minimum EMI amount. I told him about my personal problem but suddenly he started abusing my son and me and he behaves very ill. Again he and his superior threatened me that within 2 days I have to go to address no-17, Rashbehari Avenue, Kolkata-700019 to pay the amount. Not only that but also he had transferred the line to the legal department to Mr. Rajiv Malhotra, their advocate. He offered me to go for settlement option (6 installments, each of Rs2783/- pm), again he gave me time to pay the money till 22nd of this month and told to lodge a complaint against the person.

This time I am really very serious and I want to take a drastic step against the person and the bank. Bank should know that its’ people had begged to me for buying a credit card, and I was not the person who begged for the card.

Now, I need to know only few things.

1. Is the outstanding amount is more precious than my family’s life?

2. As per my knowledge, the bank will charge more if I cannot pay within the due date, then why they are harassing my family and abused my kid?
