Blackmailing to include my name in RBI Defaulter List

Hi,

In I took the Credit Card from ABN AMRO, every month they started including some amount as one or the other charges, finally after 3 months, I made the last payment and while making it I had cut the card into four pieces and gave it back to them along with the cheque and a letter. They encashed the cheque but did not send me any acknowledgement for the card.

Today, on 26 June a person called from ABN AMRO and said that I owe Rs.6500 to them. I told them that I had not bought anything with that card, he said that those were the charges. When I explained him that I had sent the card to them he said that do you have the NOC. I said that unless they send it I cannot receive it. He siad that it was my problem and on a very rude tone he said that unless I pay the dues he insisted putting my name into the defaulter's list.

These kind of rogue banks are using RBI's name to Blackmail the people. Something needs to be done on these kind of useless banks which has only one ATM in the whole of Bangalore.
