I was an employee for MOLIPS, Hyderabad. From Sep- Dec I’ve been harassed by my coworker. On the first instance itself I have discuss and warned him that I was not comfortable with this behavior and communication style and if this repeats I would raise compliant with the HR.

But this kept repeating as I was very afraid to raise a formal compliant. But on day he called me late at night and he was totally in drunken state and abused me. On very next day I met my immediate Manager (Female), HR and DGM and told them the problem and request them to raise an issue.

But to my surprise he was given a warning and no formal action has been taken against him till date. I have made many attempts to follow-up with this issue but my request has always been ignored.

I had to leave the organization with a month, but had to serve the notice period which was a painful situation. I have posted this incident in a complaints forum and the HR has warned me with serious consequences in regards to providing me my re-leaving and work experience letter and had delayed it till the complaints has been removed from the forum.

Even though we have many laws to protect women there is no security for career oriented women like me and a women’s modesty is never been a serious concern at workplace. Glass ceiling still exist in our system and people like us take the pain silently.
