Complaint for charging excess price

Sir,

We had booked six mobile handsets with tata line from the representatives of DIESL on02/11. We had asked them to provide us any handset other than Motofone f3c as we experienced it difficult to operate and particularly reading SMSes was quite a task for us. Mr. Mukul (phone number 9221001552), a representative of the said company, convinced us that he would provide us some suitable handsets other than Motophones. We were charged Rs.848/- per line that included the price of handsets (Rs.700/-each). Since the said handsets were available at Rs.499/- each and we were dealing with a renowned company like tataindicom, we believed that we would be given some goodhandsets. Also, Mr. Mukul convinced us that in case of getting any different handsets, we could call him on the said number.

We were dismayed to see that we got all six handsets of Motophones. We contacted Mr. Mukul, who responded that he himself had lodged complaint for wrong hand sets and again convinced us that he would provide us other handsets. But he never received our calls afterwards. We contacted Mr. Mujahid the manager of the said company, who told us that it was not possible to change the handsets and it was our mistake to sign the forms in which Motophones were registered. When we drew his attention about his representatives wrong commitment, he suggested us to lodge a police complaint against the representative.

We also complained to tata indicom grievance cell earlier and all that we got were a series of phone calls from tata indicom mentioning that it was not possible for changing of handsets and tried to convince us to be content with said handsets or we should buy any other handsets from the market.

Yesterday, I got a call from some Ms Vaishali at 4.26 pm, and she asked me whether I would like to discontinue our tata lines as the handsets could not be changed.

We fail to understand why the personnel of tata indicom, instead of solving our grievance tried to convince us to be content with the Motofones.

All now we intend is that we shall be content with the same handsets but DIESL should return the excess amount Rs.201/- per handset that is received by the company illegally.
